CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) is the instant translation of the spoken word into English text using a stenotype machine, notebook computer, and realtime software. The text appears on a computer monitor or other display. This technology is primarily used by people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Individuals who have learning disabilities and low mobility issues may also find CART useful in certain situations.
We are available and experienced in providing instantaneous speech-to-text translation in educational settings, conventions, workshops, and teleconferences. We will come onsite for one-on-one laptop display or to project onto a big screen, or we will happily accommodate your needs with remote CART. We have assisted communication utilizing StreamText, Skype, and webcasts.
