Our owner, Kimberly (Kim) Portik, has been a certified court reporter for more than 25 years. She has continued to expand her skills as a reporter and has achieved national certifications as a Registered Merit Reporter, Certified Realtime Captioner, Certified Realtime Reporter, and Certified Legal Video Specialist. Along with her Arizona Certified Reporter certification, she is a Certified Court Reporter in California and was previously licensed in Washington.
Kim has the privilege of being certified in the ERIC program (Emergency Response Interpreter Credentialing Program), providing CART Captioning services to deaf and hard-of-hearing communities in emergency/disaster response situations; wildfire camps, working with public information officers; public meetings; shelters; reception and care centers.
Kim continually strives to stay abreast of the latest technology and assists fellow reporters by providing guidance on Case Catalyst software.
Kim has served on the Arizona Court Reporters Association Board of Directors and is currently the Executive Director of ACRA.
Every deposition reporter on our court reporting staff has achieved national certification, with a minimum of 10 years reporting experience. All of our court reporters are highly proficient in dealing with complex litigation, document-intensive cases, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, wrongful death, accounting malpractice, accident reconstruction, dram shop, nursing home neglect and abuse, family law, and municipality law.
Since 2007, Kim has ensured CSR remains a leader in the use of technology and has worked to expand the boundaries of services offered to safeguard the strength and longevity of the company.
Michele has been with CSR since 2012 and has been essential to our growth and success. Scheduling, transcript delivery, finding a conference room out of town, Michele is the one you want to speak with.
Batel added her skills to CSR in 2021 to assist with transcript production and delivery. Although Batel likes to stay behind the scenes, she provides support with all office duties.
